Dr. Gabriel Fernandez is a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner at the University of San Diego. He immigrated to the United States in 2008 after completing his Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines. After serving a forensic-psychiatric population as a registered nurse at Atascadero State Hospital, he decided to pursue his master's in nursing and nurse practitioner certificate with a specialization in mental health from California State University, Long Beach. In 2019 Dr. Fernandez completed his doctorate in nursing practice from California State University, Fullerton. Dr. Fernandez now resides in San Diego and is a proud father to three children, Elijah, Paul, and Pia.
